On Sunday, March 27th, 2011, The Katelyn Foundation will be holding its First Annual Walkathon: “Mason’s Walk for
Drowning Prevention”. Funds generated from this event could help save a child’s life.
The Katelyn Foundation was formed in memory of Katelyn T. Michaud who was only two years old when her life
was tragically cut short in a swimming pool accident on January 27, 2004. In response to her death, THE KATELYN
FOUNDATION, INC a not for pro t 501(c)(3) (20-5595591) foundation was established by Katelyn’s mother and uncle
with the purpose of promoting child safety through public awareness and education. Our goal is to provide swim
lesson scholarships for the underprivileged families of Pasco & Pinellas Counties and prevent the loss or serious
injury of other precious children. Mason’s Walk is being organized by Jenna DeVito-Roisum, in memory of her
2-1/2 year old son, Mason, whose life was also tragically cut short in a swimming pool accident on March 27, 2009.
Both mother’s are hoping to prevent other parents from having to experience the heartbreaking loss of a child and
the far-reaching emotional burdens that follow.
Please consider two di erent ways your business can help support Mason’s Walk for Drowning Prevention :
- Sponsorship: Sponsorship levels are Bronze at $100, Silver at $250, Gold at $500 and Platinum at $1000.
Your company logo will be printed on the back of about 400 walkathon T-Shirts, which people will wear for
years to come. Also, your support will be acknowledged on our publicity materials. Please email either your
logo or the exact wording of the name of your company as you’d like it to appear on the T Shirt.
Size corresponds to your sponsorship level. Deadline for logo submimssion is March 12, 2011.
- Materials Donation: During the day-long event we will provide food and beverages to the walkers,
attendees and volunteers. We are hoping local businesses will generously provide refreshments or
discounts on the purchase of food and supplies. Your donation in the form of an item to ra e or food
and beverage supplies would be greatly appreciated.
